Frozen Fruit Yogurt Treats

Ingredients:

1 cup Dates OR Dried Cherries (low GI index)
2 Cups Rolled Oats (Gluten Free)
1 Cup Nut Butter OR Nut of your Choice (Whole nuts) 1⁄4 Cup Ground Flaxseed
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
1 1⁄2 Cups Unsweetend Yogurt
1 Cup Stewed Berries/Fruits*see alternative

DIRECTIONS:

In a food processor blend the dates/cherries until smooth. Add the oats, nuts/nut butter, flaxseed and cinnamon. Blend until well combined. Transfer the mix into a parchment lined baking dish and press firmly into the dish. Spoon yogurt over the crust spreading evenly and dot with stewed fruits/berries. *Alternative is to create a Chia Jam (take any fruit of your choice and stew until broken down, remove from heat and add chia seeds. Let it sit to thicken!)* Cover the dish and place into the freezer until solid enough to cut (2-4 hours). Cut into squares or bars and let thaw 3-5 minutes before enjoying! This recipe is a guideline and can be modified with additional toppings!

URBAN SHAMAN TIP:

Bake the crust at 350 degrees in the oven for 10-15 minutes or until lightly toasted. Remove from the oven and let cool before layering yogurt and berries
